This private 7 day family holiday in Sri Lanka packs the island’s best family moments into one easy week: climbing Sigiriya Rock, wild elephants in Minneriya, a village lunch, the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy and two days on the beach in Bentota, with baby turtles at Kosgoda.
Drives are kept short, with breaks whenever the children need them. It is the shortest of our family holidays to Sri Lanka, and a good first taste of the island.

What is the price for this 7-day family holiday?
We send a personalised quote, because the price depends on your hotels, the vehicle and the ages of your children. Your private car or van, driver and six nights with breakfast are included; entrance tickets and the jeep safari are quoted separately.
Is this holiday suitable for young children?
Yes. The longest drive is about four hours, with stops on the way. Sigiriya Rock has around 1,200 steps, so with toddlers one parent can stay in the gardens, or the family can climb the lower terraces only.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes. Tell us the ages of your children and we fit child or booster seats at no extra cost.
When is the best time for this route?
December to April is the best time for the west coast beaches. Sigiriya and Kandy are good most of the year, and Minneriya’s elephant gathering is around July to October.
Where does the tour start and finish?
It starts and ends at Bandaranaike International Airport, or at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
