Before you book
What is the price for this 14-day family holiday?
We send a personalised quote, because the price depends on your hotels, the vehicle and the ages of your children. Your private car or van, driver and thirteen nights with breakfast are included; the Ella train, jeep safaris, whale watching and entrance tickets are quoted separately.
Is two weeks too long with children?
Not on this route. Most stops are two or three nights, drives are short, and you finish with beach days, so the trip feels relaxed rather than rushed.
Is the Yala safari safe for young children?
Yes. You stay in a private jeep with a tracker, and children of all ages are allowed. A half-day drive of about four hours suits most families.
When is the best time for this route?
December to April is best for the south and west coasts and whale watching. Parts of Yala usually close for a few weeks around September and October, when we can swap in Udawalawe.
