This private Ramayana circuit tour in Sri Lanka is our most complete journey through the Ramayana sites. Over nine days you visit the Shiva temples near Chilaw, the cliff-top Koneswaram Temple and the Kanniya hot springs in Trincomalee, the rock fortress of Sigiriya and Kandy, the hills of Nuwara Eliya linked with Ashok Vatika, the Ravana sites near Ella, Kataragama and the south coast.
It is the longest of our Ramayana tours in Sri Lanka, with eight nights on the road and time for prayer, offerings and rest.

We send a personalised quote, because the price depends on your hotels, the vehicle and the number of travellers. Your private car or van, English-speaking driver and eight nights’ hotels with breakfast are included; temple offerings and entrance tickets are paid separately.
Why include Trincomalee?
Trincomalee is home to Koneswaram, an ancient Shiva temple on a cliff above the sea linked in tradition with Ravana, and the Kanniya hot springs. It makes the circuit the most complete Ramayana tour of the island.
When is the best time for this circuit?
The east coast around Trincomalee is driest from about May to September, and the hills and south coast work most of the year. We can adjust the route for your dates.
Can we get vegetarian or Indian food?
Yes. We choose hotels and stops where vegetarian and Indian meals are easy to find.
