We send a personalised quote, because the price depends on your hotels, the vehicle and any extras you choose. Your private car, driver and nine nights’ hotels with breakfast are included; the Ella train tickets, the Yala jeep safari and entrance tickets are extra and listed separately in your quote.

Two nights near Sigiriya, one in Kandy, one in a tea-country bungalow near Nuwara Eliya, one in Ella, one near Yala, two in Mirissa and one at Galle or Bentota. Choose boutique, romantic or luxury hotels; we confirm every hotel in your quote.

Is this a relaxing itinerary for a honeymoon?

Yes. The drives are kept short, most hotels are booked for the evening before you need them, and the last three days are on the coast so you can slow down and enjoy the beach together.

Can we change the route or add more beach days?

Yes. Every honeymoon is private and fully customisable; we can add beach nights, swap Yala for Udawalawe, or upgrade to luxury villas.

Day 1 :

Airport → Dambulla → Sigiriya

Your driver welcomes you at Bandaranaike International Airport and drives you north into the Cultural Triangle.

Stop at the painted caves of the Dambulla Cave Temple, then check in to your hotel near Sigiriya and relax by the pool.

Overnight: Sigiriya.

Day 2 :

Sigiriya at sunrise

Climb Pidurangala together for sunrise over Sigiriya, or climb Sigiriya Rock itself when the gates open.

Spend a slow afternoon at your hotel, or add a village tour or an elephant safari in Minneriya.

Overnight: Sigiriya.

Day 3 :

Sigiriya → Kandy

Drive south to Kandy, stopping at a spice garden on the way.

Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, walk beside Kandy Lake and watch a Kandyan dance show in the evening.

Overnight: Kandy.

Day 4 :

Kandy → tea country

Climb into the hills past Ramboda Falls to a tea factory, where you taste fresh Ceylon tea and try tea plucking together.

Check in to a colonial tea-country bungalow near Nuwara Eliya for a cosy evening in the cool mountain air.

Overnight: Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5 :

Nanu Oya → Ella by train

Ride the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella through tea estates and misty valleys; your driver meets you at Ella station.

See the Nine Arch Bridge and walk up Little Adam’s Peak for sunset over Ella Gap.

Overnight: Ella.

Day 6 :

Ella → Yala safari

Drive down from the hills past Ravana Falls to Yala National Park.

In the afternoon, set out on a private jeep safari to look for leopards, elephants and sloth bears.

Overnight: Yala.

Day 7 :

Yala → Mirissa

Drive west along the coast to Mirissa and check in to your beach hotel.

Watch the sunset from Coconut Tree Hill and enjoy a relaxed seafood dinner by the sea.

Overnight: Mirissa.

Day 8 :

Mirissa beach day

A free day on the beach. In season, add an early whale-watching trip to see blue whales and dolphins, or simply relax by the sea.

Overnight: Mirissa.

Day 9 :

Mirissa → Galle Fort

Drive along the coast past the stilt fishermen of Koggala to Galle.

Walk the ramparts of Galle Dutch Fort at sunset and explore its colonial streets, cafés and boutiques.

Overnight: Galle or Bentota.

Day 10 :

Galle → airport

Enjoy a last morning by the sea, then drive to the airport for your flight home, or to your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
