Mirissa Beach is a palm-fringed crescent bay on Sri Lanka’s south coast and one of the best places in the world to see blue whales. From November to April, whale watching trips from Mirissa regularly encounter blue whales, sperm whales and spinner dolphins in the deep waters just offshore.
